Insurance and Payment Options

At Port Kennedy Vets, we do our best to provide affordable treatments for pets throughout Rockingham and South Perth. However, part of owning a pet is being aware of the risk of unexpected medical expenses. If you’re worried about the ongoing or unexpected costs for your pet, keep reading below to find out about payment and insurance options.

Payment Options

Port Kennedy Vets requires full payment at the time of the service, which can be at the end of the consultation or on a collection of your pet after hospitalisation or surgery.

We accept all common payment methods including:

  • Debit Cards
  • Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX)
  • Cash

We do not routinely accept cheques. Bartercard can be used to cover professional services only.

VETPAY

Port Kennedy Vets accepts VETPAY which is a loan you can take out for the cost of the vet bill. VETPAY is specifically designed to help pay for veterinary expenses without the worry of high upfront costs. VETPAY allows you to pay your bill through fortnightly instalments over a 6 or 12-month term. You will be required to pay a deposit of 20% plus a 5% administration fee. Standard interest rates apply. The minimum loan amount through VETPAY is $500. To find out more, visit the VETPAY website or ask one of our friendly receptionists. You can get approval on the spot in the clinic.

Pet insurance is becoming more and more popular in Australia. Accidents, fractures, illnesses and other medical emergencies are an all too common occurrence. The sad reality is that vet bills are expensive and often come at an unexpected time. This is where pet insurance comes in. If you take our pet insurance, you have peace of mind knowing that the quality of care your pet receives isn’t limited by your finances. At Port Kennedy Veterinary Hospital, we strongly encourage all pet owners to take out pet insurance.
